Tabea Bork-Hüffer will give her inaugural lecture at the University of Innsbruck on 9 October 2019 at 6 pm in the Aula, Main Building, University of Innsbruck.

Tabea Bork-Hüffer explores how social practices and power relations change places, cities and societies. The main emphasis is on three interconnected processes: urbanisation, mobilities and digitisation. She focuses on those regions, cities and societies in Southeast and East Asia (China, Malaysia, Singapore) and Central Europe (Austria, Germany), but also on digital places of interaction that experience particularly strong processes of change (transient spaces and societies). With her research, Tabea Bork-Hüffer wants to contribute to a better understanding of the profound socio-cultural regional and global transitions.

After the event you are cordially invited to a small buffet. Please register by e-mail to geographie@uibk.ac.at by 4 October 2019.
