Belinda Mahlknecht
PhD candidate & Researcher
I am a PhD candidate at the Institute of Geography, University of Innsbruck. I completed my Teachers Training diploma in Geography and History at this university as well. My research focuses on pupils and their practices at the institution school as well as in the digital space, especially in the context of (cyber-)bullying. In my research I apply qualitative and digital methods. Considering my background and professional training, I have experienced the institution school from three different perspectives: as a pupil, as a teacher and as a researcher for data collections.

About Me

I have a high interest in researching social interaction in cON/FFlating spaces. My work is focused on individuals, especially young people and their individual experiences, fears and problems, which they collect in online and offline spaces. My diploma thesis as well as my dissertation focus on research subjects from Tyrol, the federal state I grew up, educated myself and have cultivated my social contacts.
